Mileage in the Indian automobile market is no longer a desire, but has become a need. Customers are looking for cars that can travel long distances in low fuel. Realizing this demand, companies are focusing on high mileage cars. Recently Toyota’s upcoming hybrid hatchback car Toyota Aqua Hybrid Has been seen during testing on the streets of India. Information to its mileage has also been revealed now.
Toyota Aqua Hybrid is a compact hatchback that was first launched in Japan in 2021. Outside Japan, it was exported as Prius C. This car is prepared on the TNGA-B platform, on which vehicles like Toyota Yaris and Sienta are also based.
Toyota can launch this car with a 1.5-liter petrol hybrid engine and two electric motors, which will jointly generate 116bhp power.
According to the Global Toyota site, this car can run up to 35.8 kilometers in 1 liter of petrol. If the same mileage is found in the Indian version, then this car can give a tough competition to many hybrid vehicles including Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid.
Toyota Aqua makes Hybrid special in the bipolar nickel hydrogen battery used in it. It not only gives power to the car, but is also capable of powering other electronic devices via 100V/1500W outlet. “If this car really gives more than 35kmpl mileage in India, it can become a game Changer of the segment,” Auto experts say.
