International Space Station under Axiom Mission-4 (ISS) On) A series of scientific experiments continues, where pilot and Indian astronaut group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has launched ‘Space Microelgy Experiment’. He is accompanied by Commander Pagi Whitson, Mission expert Swananski Visnievski and Tibor Kapu.

Future food can become algae

Under this experiment, Shubhanshu is growing special types of algae (algi), which can become a source of fresh and nutritious food for astronauts in future. Algi is actually small plants that grow in water. Due to the chlorophyll present in them, they make energy from sunlight and also produce oxygen.

According to Shubhanshu, “Algae can be grown in short space and are rich sources of protein, vitamins and minerals. This can give astronauts a healthy diet during long journeys.”

Neuro-Motion VR Project: Effect of space on the brain and body

In other parts of the mission, all crew members participated in the Neuro Motion VR project. During this time he worked wearing a VR headset, collecting data of the effects on brain and movement in space. This will improve psychological and physical strategies of Space Mission in future.

Preparation for drug testing in microgravity

Mission expert Swavan did a microfludic design experiment, in which the behavior of fluids in microgravity was tested with the help of kerormit tools. This technique will help in creating an autonomous drug testing device in the future.
