The ballroom is going to receive a double shot of MomTok energy. On The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion special, host Nick Viall announced that two of the show's fan favorite cast members will be appearing on the next season of Dancing with the Stars . The news was a surprise bombshell in the course of a discussion about which of the women had just auditioned for the popular competition show.
"Most of the girls tested out during season 3 filming," Viall revealed, before jokingly polling the cast members as to who desired the prized ballroom position the most. Whitney Leavitt giggled, "I feel like me and Jen," she said, speaking of Jen Affleck .
When Viall followed up with, “Who deserves it the most?” Taylor Frankie Paul gave her vote to Jen, explaining, “Just because it’s her life dream, since she was little.” Jen confirmed the sentiment, adding, “Yeah, it is.”
Taylor also gave a nod to Whitney’s dance background, saying, “You’ve danced your whole life,” acknowledging her fellow MomToker’s longtime experience as a trained dancer.
Viall next shocked the group — and audience — by first revealing Jen Affleck would be going to the ballroom. But the larger surprise came seconds later: "As it turns out, since you ladies are so loved, they are going to be sending two of you to Dancing with the Stars," he announced. Whitney was announced as the second contestant, with excitement and friendly joking between the two TikTok stars .
Both Jen and Whitney seemed delighted at the prospect, sharing lighthearted barbs about the competition that awaited but unmistakably reveling in the moment.
The two MomTokers will be added to a pre-existing A-list ensemble. At Get Real event in Los Angeles earlier this April, DWTS revealed that Robert Irwin — son of the late wildlife legend Steve Irwin — will be a contestant this season. In May, social media influencer Alix Earle was also announced to join the roster.
With viral popularity, personality, and dance experience under their belts, Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt are guaranteed to make splashes on the ballroom floor — and on TikTok.
