An Infosys employee has been arrested for allegedly secretly filming a woman colleague inside the washroom at the company’s campus in Bengaluru. The accused identified as Swaptil Nagesh Mali was working as a Senior Associate Consultant in the Helex Department.

Infosys Woman Techie Filmed Inside Washroom

According to the police complaint, the incident took place on June 30, 2025, around 11:00 AM at I-Q-E Wing, 3rd Floor of the Infosys office. The woman, a Technical Test Lead at Infosys, was on a hybrid work model and reported to the office as per her monthly schedule on the day of the incident. After her work, she went to use the washroom and soon noticed something unusual.

She saw a suspicious reflection and sensed movement from the adjacent stall. Moments later, she stood on the commode to check and was shocked to find a man standing on a commode in the adjacent stall, filming her with his mobile phone while she was using the toilet.

Soon, the victim rushed out of the washroom and alerted others in the office. Her colleagues quickly intervened and confronted the accused, who attempted to flee. However, later, he was caught by HR personnel. On checking his phone, HR staff found the video recording of the survivor. Though the accused repeatedly apologised and deleted the video on HR's instruction, the incident left the survivor deeply disturbed and humiliated.

Later, the woman approached the police and gave a complaint, fearing that such acts could happen again and potentially harm other women. She demanded strict legal action against the accused.

The case has now been registered and police are investigating the matter further. The incident has raised serious concerns about workplace safety and privacy, prompting calls for stricter monitoring and enforcement within corporate campuses.
