Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore District Administration is now taking concrete steps towards using Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make work in government offices more transparent, simple and public-friendly.

In this direction a 'Hackathon' will be organised in the city under the Smart City Project, wherein experts of Information Technology (IT) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) will give suggestion about how to improve working using advanced technologies.

This was informed in the Disposal of Time Limit Letters (TL) meeting and in the meeting of Inter-Departmental Coordination Committee held at Collector office on Wednesday.

Presiding the meeting, Collector Asheesh Singh said that experts, innovators and technical students of IT and AI field will be invited in the hackathon. The programme will prove to be an important platform for technological innovation in government work.

Collector Singh said that the aim of the hackathon is to find technical solutions in administrative work. Through the programme, practical suggestions and solutions will be invited on topics such as preventing illegal construction, continuous monitoring, making the Jansunvai system effective and preventing cyber fraud.

He said that many schemes of the government are being operated on digital platforms in the district and technical innovations are necessary to increase their efficiency.

Through the hackathon, the administration will take concrete initiatives towards smart and safe city. The hackathon will not only encourage technical innovation, but is also a big initiative towards ensuring transparency of governance and public interest. On this occasion, IMC Commissioner Shivam Verma, Smart City CEO Divyank Singh, District Panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain, IDA CEO RP Ahirwar, Additional Collectors Gaurav Benal, Roshan Rai, Rinkesh Vaish and other departmental officers were present.

The Collector directed to give more impetus to the beggar free drive. He also directed the Regional Transport Officer to take strict action against school vehicles operating illegally in the city. Also, parents should be made aware that they should send their children to school only in authorized vehicles.

4 lakh duplicate e-KYCs removed in district

Instructions were also given in the meeting regarding speeding up the e-KYC work of Samagra ID. Collector Singh informed that the work of linking the Samagra ID to Aadhaar and doing e-KYC is going on rapidly in the district.

He directed that duplicate or wrong Samagra IDs should be removed immediately and citizens should be encouraged to get e-KYC of their Samagra ID done. So far, 4 lakh duplicate e-KYCs have been removed in the district.
