Indian Railways has resumed ‘Sri Ramayana Yatra’ through Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train as part of a special initiative for Shri Ram devotees. This journey promotes government campaigns like ‘Dekh Apna Desh’ and ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’. This special rail journey will start from Safdarjung railway station in Delhi on 25 July 2025.
This religious journey will be of 17 days. In this, many holy sites to Shri Ram will be visited. This includes places like Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi and Rameswaram. This train has a place for a total of 150 passengers in the first, second and third AC category. Passengers can join the journey from Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Lucknow stations. IRCTC has also provided 25% advance payment facility for ticket booking.
India Gaurav Deluxe Train is equipped with modern facilities, such as two magnificent restaurants, modern kitchens, bathrooms, sensor-rich toilets, foot massage, CCTV cameras and security guards in each coach. The journey will begin from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi and Saryu Ghat in Ayodhya. The Bharat Temple of Nandigram, Sitamarhi and Ram-Janaki Temple at Janakpur in Nepal will also be seen.
The yatra will have night stay in Ramrekha Ghat of Buxar, Kashi Vishwanath of Varanasi and Sankat Mochan Temple, Prayagraj, Suregraj, Suregarpur and Chitrakoot. After this, Nashik, Hampi and Rameswaram also include scenic religious places. This journey will cover a distance of about 7600 km.
