Aadhar card Lost: If your Aadhaar card is lost and you do not remember your Aadhaar number, then there is nothing to worry. You can get your Aadhaar number back very easily through the official website of UIDAI. Nowadays, it is very important to have Aadhaar card everywhere from government work to purchase SIM cards.

How to get Aadhaar Number online:

  1. Go to UIDAI’s website: First, UIDAI’s official website Go to

  2. Fill the information: Here, fill your full name, your Aadhaar link, mobile number and email ID, fill the necessary information.

  3. Fill the captcha: Fill the captcha appearing on the screen correctly.

  4. Request for OTP: Now, click on ‘Request OTP’ or ‘Request OTP’. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number.

  5. Verify OTP: Enter the OTP on the mobile at the designated place and verify.

  6. Get Aadhaar Number: After successfully verification, your Aadhaar number will be sent to your registered mobile number through SMS.

What to do if the mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar?

If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, then you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar enrollment or update center. There you have to give information like your name, gender, district, pin code. After verifying your biometric (fingerprint/ chakshu-scan) information by the authorities, they will download and give your electronic Aadhaar card.
