Washington. NASA’s Indian-origin astronaut Anil Menon’s name has been finalized in the crew going to International Space. Anil Menon is a flight engineer and will be a member of the Expedition 75 crew. NASA has given this information by issuing an official statement. According to NASA, Menon will leave for the International Space Station in June 2026 aboard the Roscosmos Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft.
Other astronauts accompanying Anil Menon to the ISS will be Roscosmos cosmonauts Yaroslav Dubrov and Anna Kikina. The Roscosmos Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft will take off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and the mission will last for about eight months. Anil Menon will conduct several scientific experiments on the International Space Station, which will help humans benefit in future space missions.

Menon also teaches doctors at the University of Texas. Menon also worked as the first flight surgeon at Musk’s company SpaceX and also helped launch the first crew of the Dragon spacecraft. Menon is also associated with SpaceX’s medical organization, which works to help future astronauts. For about 25 years, scientists and astronauts have been doing research work while staying at the International Space Station so that in future people on Earth can also benefit from this research.
