Bihar Public Service Commission i.e. BPSC, has recently issued a notification for recruitment to special school teacher posts, for which the application process has now started. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of BPSC bpsc.bihar.gov.in. The last date to apply has been fixed as 28th July.

Under this recruitment campaign, a total of 7279 posts of special teachers from classes 1 to 8th will be filled in special schools across the state. These include 5534 posts of primary school (1st to 5th) and a total of 1745 posts of upper primary (6th to 8th). BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria: What are the eligibility criteria?

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Primary Teacher must have passed 12th with 50 percent marks. Apart from this, they should also have D.El.Ed Certificate/Diploma in Special Education from an institute recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. At the same time, for the post of Upper Primary Teacher, candidates must have a graduation degree with 50 percent marks. Along with this, they should also have a B.Ed in Special Education and a valid CRR number from the Rehabilitation Council of India.

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 37 years of age. However, women of the OBC and General category have been given a relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit, while SC and ST categories have been given a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit.

BPSC Special Teacher Selection Process: What is the selection process?

Candidates will be selected based on a written examination and document verification. The exam will be conducted in offline mode, in which objective-type multiple-choice questions will be asked. The final merit list of the candidates will be released based on marks obtained in this exam.
