Jules Hudson was inundated with support as he shared a new update about Escape to the Country. The presenter, 55, joined the cast of the property-hunting show in 2007 and has helped thousands of people find their perfect abode in the countryside. In a recent announcement, the archaeologist revealed he had headed to a location they have never filmed at in the show's 23-year history.
Taking to Instagram with a video, he began: "I'm shooting another episode of Escape to the Country this week but I am so excited to be somewhere the show has never ever been before." Standing in front of an idyllic coastline complete with mountains, Jules confirmed they were filming in the Isle of Man for the first time.
He continued: "If you look at that coastline behind me, you could be forgiven for thinking you were perhaps in Cornwall or North Devon or even Pembrokeshire. But here's the rub."
"Look over there. That is Port Erin and if you know your Geography of the British Isles, hopefully, that means you will appreciate that we are on the Isle of Man."
Expressing his excitement over the opportunity, Jules added: "I've never been here before and nor has Escape to the Country, but we are relishing the opportunity to explore somewhere which, certainly for me, and many of us is new."
In the caption, he penned: "Here's an Escape to the Country EXCLUSIVE!! This week we are house hunting somewhere we have NEVER been to before! And what a fascinating place it is!!"
Fans flocked to support the TV star, with several admitting they can't wait until the special episode is released.
"Awesome Jules looking forward to this," wrote one viewer as a second added: "I'm looking forward to seeing this New episode of Escape to the Country soon."
"Looking forward to seeing that one!!," agreed another fan as a fourth exclaimed: "How exciting Jules!!!"
Echoing this, another penned: "Wow I thought that Escape to the Country had been there before - that's incredible."
Aside from presenting the popular BBC show since 2007, Jules has also worked on Countryfile, Time Team on Channel 4 and Horizon on BBC Two. In addition to this, his other work includes Britain's Heritage Heroes, Britain's Empty Homes, and Channel 5's Winter on the Farm alongside Helen Skelton.
