Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds tragically passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 46, in a car accident near Townsville, Queensland. His vehicle veered off the road and rolled over. Symonds was the only occupant of the car at the time. Although paramedics arrived and attempted to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Afghanistan cricketer Najeeb Tarakai tragically passed away on October 6, 2020, after sustaining a severe head injury in a road accident. He was hit by a motorist while crossing a road in Jalalabad. Tarakai was immediately taken to a hospital in Nangarhar, where he underwent surgery while in a coma.

England cricketer Ben Hollioake tragically died on March 23, 2002, in Perth, Australia, when he crashed his Porsche 924 into a wall on the Mill Point Road exit of the Kwinana Freeway. He was returning home from a family celebration when the accident occurred. Hollioake was just 24 years and 132 days old at the time of his death, making him the youngest England Test cricketer to pass away.

West Indies cricketer Runako Shakur Morton tragically passed away on March 4, 2012, in a car accident in Trinidad and Tobago. He lost control of the vehicle he was driving along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway and crashed into a utility pole at Chase Village in Chaguanas.

West Indies cricketer Collie Smith tragically died from injuries sustained in a car accident on September 9, 1959, at the age of 26. He was travelling with his teammates Garry Sobers and Tom Dewdney when their car collided with a 10-ton cattle truck in Staffordshire.
