A Promising Career Cut Short

Diogo Jota earned 49 caps with the Portugal national team. He contributed to the UEFA Nations League victories in 2019 and 2025. He made his international debut in November 2019 against Lithuania. In that match, Jota came on to replace Ronaldo in the second half.

Jota quickly built a reputation for his speed, versatility, and scoring ability. At Liverpool, he played a key role in several campaigns, both in the Premier League and European competitions.
