Iga Swiatek claims "everyone is watching me" after being caught filling her bag with Wimbledon towels. Swiatek mischievously took numerous towels off the court after beating Polina Kudermetova in the first round on Tuesday.

It was spotted by the on-court interview and the Pole said: "Come on. It's a topic no one ever talks about. We love our towels. Every time I come back from a Slam I think I have like 10 friends and 10 family members wanting towels. So, sorry guys. Sorry Wimbledon. I don't know if I'm supposed to do that!"

Swiatek's bag was not overflowing when she left Centre Court following her second-round win over Caty McNally on Thursday evening. And she is on her best behaviour after being caught red handed.

"Well... I don't know. Now that everyone is watching me it's not so fun," Swiatek said on court. "Now I've gotta be careful. This is one of the reasons we come to Wimbledon."

McNally looked like she may spring a surprise on the No.8 seed by taking the first set 7-5. But the five-time Grand Slam champion bounced back in emphatic fashion, storming through the following two sets 6-2, 6-1.

"Yeah.. I played really solid matches in Bad Homburg. That gave me a lot of confidence. I gotta say the court is totally different though so it's not easy to adjust," Swiatek explained when discussing he whirlwind match.

"Especially when the practice courts are already like used for two weeks and this beauty is just played a few hours a day. Just trying to adjust and feel these courts as well as I did in Bad Homburg."

Following her win earlier this week, Swiatek expanded on her love for tournament towels.

"I have a lot at home," she added. "Trust me. I don't need many more. If I'm going play like 15 more years on tour I can't even imagine. I think I'm going to have to build another room in my house just for Grand Slam towels."
