Taking to Instagram, Anshula shared glimpses from the special moment, where Rohan popped the question in front of the castle in Central Park—at exactly 1:15 AM India time, a nod to the hour they first started talking three years ago.

Penning a heartfelt note to mark the occasion, Anshula reflected on their journey together. “We met on an app. Started talking on a random Tuesday at 1.15AM. We spoke until 6am that morning,” she wrote, describing the beginning of what would become a deeply meaningful connection.
“Three years later, in my favourite city, in front of the castle in Central Park, he proposed! And somehow the world paused just long enough for the moment to feel like magic,” she continued. “I’ve never been the girl who believed in fairytales.. but what @rohanthakkar1511 gave me that day was better. Because it was intentional. Thoughtful. Real. Us.”
She concluded with a joyful declaration: “I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person.”
Janhvi Kapoor played a key role in introducing Rohan to the family
Anshula had previously opened up in a 2024 interview with Hautterfly about how her relationship with Rohan began. Around the age of 29 or 30, she had asked her family to help her find a partner. After a few dates, she ended up falling for Rohan.
She revealed that her half-sister Janhvi Kapoor was the first family member she introduced him to. “The minute I was sure I wanted to give this relationship a proper go-ahead, Janhvi was the first person Rohan met. She’s very sweet and caring, and I felt she had my best interests at heart,” Anshula said. Describing the moment as a “soft launch” within the family, she shared that siblings Arjun Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were supportive too, though busy with film commitments.
