Ekta Kapoor revealed in an interview that her father Jitendra showed her two ways when she was just 17 years old. Ekta Kapoor said that when she was 15 years old, she was very fond of marriage. She says, "When I was 15 years old. Then I loved to party, and during that time I also wanted to get married." But Papa put two conditions in front of me. He chose his career and produced his first TV show ‘Hum five’ at the age of 19, which was a super hit.
Following the father’s advice, Ekta gave priority to her career and gave a hit show one after the other through the banner of Balaji Telefilms. Shows like ‘Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’, and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ made her the queen of TV. Ekta told, "I decided to shoot a pilot for the show with us five names and sold it to G-TV. When it was onar, I was 19 years old. The show became a hit and all my ways changed."
Today Ekta Kapoor’s production house Balaji Telefilms holds a value of more than Rs 400 crore, and her personal assets are around Rs 95 crore. He has produced more than 130 TV shows and many films. Ekta has left her mark not only in the TV industry, but also on the OTT platform through Alt Balaji.
