The newly appointed Indian skipper, Shubman Gill, has been a bit chatty during the two Tests, sometimes dropping meme-worthy one-liners while sometimes shouting and guiding his bowlers. However, on day 2 at Edgbaston, the captain was found fuming with his fellow batting partner, Akash Deep.
Notably, Akash has substituted Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested from the second Test due to workload management. However, with the bat, he got scolded by Shubman Gill for almost giving an easy wicket. Even though it was Gill who gave the call, Akash did not respond quickly. Gill hit the ball, and it went to Ollie Pope at the leg Gully.
