New Delhi: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) marks vs percentiles are two different scores that evaluate the performance of candidates in the entrance exam.  The CUET marks or score is the total marks that a candidate has scored in the entrance exam as per the CUET marking scheme. The CUET percentile, which is calculated out of 100, is the relative score that indicates how well a candidate has performed compared to similar and other sessions of the entrance exam.

CUET percentile is calculated separately for each session. The CUET raw score is converted into a percentile by the following method.

  1. Let the total candidates who appeared for the exam be (N)
  2. Filter all candidates in one shift and arrange them in decreasing order based on the score.
  3. The raw score of each candidate is (T).
  4. Count the total candidates whose raw scores are less than or equal to. Take this number as (M)
  5. Then calculate CUET percentile score as P= M*100/N
