Oasis fever is spreading around the UK once again as the hype builds before the Gallagher brothers finally take to the stage together later today.

Having not graced the same stage in more than 15 years, the 75,000 fans lucky enoughto get a ticket for Cardiff's Principality Stadiumwill be expecting big things – especially those who forked out a hefty sum through a resale who were hit with dynamic pricing hikes.

AlthoughLiam and Noel are probably the last musicians you'd thought would get nervous, that hasn't stopped some of the biggest artists of the prime Britpop era from reaching out to the band wishing them luck on the worldwide tour.

Two icons leading the floods of celeb support are Robbie Williams and The Spice Girls. The former Take That star has revealed a fake blue plaque style graphic on Berwick Street in London's Soho, the setting for the band's iconic (What's The Story) Morning Glory? album cover.

Posting to his Instagram earlier today, the plaque says: "Robbie Williams- heard it, saw it, loved it, lived it, wanted it and snorted it ... That’s The Story." Robbie posted the image alongside a snap of two blurred out faces stood down the famous street to recreate the iconic album cover – this time the duo were in black and red tracksuits. As he shared the snaps, Robbie wished the brothers well as he wrote in the caption "GOOD LUCK TONIGHT LADS @oasis ".

Although today's stunt wasn't the first time the singer has spoken about the brother's tour. In an interview last year with NME, Robbie added: “The soap opera alone will either be exciting and or ghoulish to watch. As for the shows? They’re gonna be incredible, off-the-scale special.”

The Rock DJ singer was seemingly inspired to bury the hatchet like the Gallagher brothers after his long-running feud with Noel after a comment where he referred to Robbie as "the fat dancer from Take That”, which led to the pop star challenging Liam to a scrap during the Brits.

Britpop fever seems to be coming back for a second round, with Williams' upcoming album, “Britpop” set to pay homage to the golden era of British music.

But it's not just Robbie who's wishing the brothers luck ahead of tonight's gig with girl group superstars the Spice Girls also posting to Instagram. Reposting the classic 1997 Brit awards moment where Mel C shouted on stage "I just wanna say, Liam, come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!" – writing on top of the clip, the band's official Instagram account teased: "Still waiting @liamgallagher. Good luck with the tour boys."

The boys are in for a jam-packed six months, with the tour taking them everywhere from Mexico City to Tokyo, although perhaps their most anticipated gig will be their third date as they return to Manchester in front of a sell-out crowd at Heaton Park.
