Aishwarya is now married to actor Abhishek Bachchan, while Salman is still unmarried. Years later, her co-star Smita Jayakar, who played Aishwarya’s mother in the film, spoke openly about her relationship.

Talking to the film mantra, Smita said, “He fell in love there and his affair thrown here. This helped the film a lot because both of them had a moonlight -like moonlight and there was a clear glimpse on their face, which was really good for the film.” Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film also featured Ajay Devgan in the lead role.

The film tells the story of a newly married person Vanraj (Ajay), which shows that his wife Nandini (Aishwarya) loves another person Sameer (Salman) and decides to introduce them. However, the story came into a turn when Nandini’s heart changed and decided to stay with Vanraj (Ajay) instead of running away with Sameer. Since separation, Salman and Aishwarya have been avoiding talking about each other.
