New Delhi: San Francisco Unicorns registered a thrilling win in the 25th match of Major League Cricket (MLC). The team won the match against Texas Super Kings in Florida by just one run. It was the seventh win of San Francisco Unicorn’s in the season, while Texas Super Kings have lost in three matches. Both of these teams, who have already qualified for ‘playoffs’, have played nine-nine matches so far.
After losing the toss in the match, San Francisco Unicorn, who came out to bat first, scored just 148 runs losing six wickets. The team had lost three wickets for just 19 runs. From here, opener Matthew Short took over the captaincy innings and handled the team.
Matthew Short shared a 69 -run partnership for the fourth wicket with Hasan Khan. Hasan Khan was dismissed for 40 runs in 25 balls with the help of three sixes and two fours. After this, Matthew Short carried the innings forward and scored 80 runs in 63 balls with the help of four sixes and five fours. Apart from these, Shubham Ranjane scored an innings of 28 runs. The team needed 13 runs in the final overs to win, with four wickets left.
Mohammad Mohsin hit a four off the first ball of the last over, but no run was scored on the next ball. One run on the third and fourth balls came, while on the fifth ball, Mohsin again hit a four. In such a situation, the team needed three runs to win the final ball, but Mohsin was run out as soon as one run ran. With this, San Francisco won the match by one run.
