Lucknow. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a historical and adventure change in the investigation process of revenue matters seriously. Now the task of investigating these cases has been removed from the accountants and entrusted to the Naib Tehsildars. The purpose of the Chief Minister is clear – increasing transparency in revenue matters, curbing corruption, and providing justice to the complainants.
Lekhpal’s report will no longer be considered final
Till now, the report of Lekhpal was considered to be final in revenue disputes or matters, due to which complaints of favoritism and corruption were reported many times. But now this system has been changed after the clear instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. No officer below Naib Tehsildar will now investigate revenue matters. This will not only increase the quality of investigation, but will also determine accountability.
Policy released from public philosophy
Complaints of the people coming daily in the Chief Minister’s office prepared the background of this decision. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hears public problems during his Janata Darshan program. Many of them were to the investigation conducted at revenue matters and accountant levels, which revealed the lack of bias and fairness. Due to this, the Chief Minister directed the officials to change the investigation system.
New structure of investigation
Investigating Officer: Now Naib Tehsildar will investigate revenue matters, not Lekhpal.
Reporting process: The report will be prepared only after hearing the complainant.
Decision level: The final decision will be held at the Deputy Collector (SDM) level.
Priority of Justice: No report, justice will be done on the basis of hearing.
