A major road accident occurred on Saturday when pilgrims Pahalgam Four buses of the convoy carrying were clashed with each other. The accident took place at the Chanderkot anchor site in Ramban district, in which more than 35 devotees were injured.

How did the accident happen?
According to preliminary investigation, the brake of a bus in the convoy failed, causing it to hit the bus standing directly in front. The other two buses coming from behind also clashed one after the other.
The incident was so fierce that the front part of the buses flew away, and many devotees fell from the seats.
Treatment of injured continues
According to the deputy commissioner of Ramban,
A total of 36 passengers were injured, most of whom have suffered minor injuries.
All the injured have been admitted to the District Hospital Ramban (DHB).
The situation is under control and no life is described as a threat (amarnath yatra business).
Security claims vs ground reality
However, the administration has made full security claims on the journey route. Shobhit Saxena, SSP of Kathua, told that –
The convoys are being sent to small batches for the journey
Police and central security forces have a presence at every stop
Cctv Monitoring and patrolling teams are completely cautious
But this incident has also indicated that technical omission or vehicle malfunction can put the devotees in danger at any time.
Faith is now under question
The Amarnath Yatra is considered one of the holiest trips to India. Every year millions of devotees are out to visit Lord Shiva on this difficult path (Amarnath Yatra Bus Accident). In such a situation, the question is that –
