The leading carmaker, Tata Motors, has finally kick-started the production of the newly launched Harrier.ev. The operation is being taken care of at the company’s facility in Pune. Now, the electric SUV is expected to arrive at authorised dealerships nationwide soon. The deliveries are likely to take place somewhere this month.
The latest offering from the brand is based on the acti.ev+ architecture, which makes it reliable and trusted in the segment. It has been offered in four trims: Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+ and Empowered. It comes with two drive configurations that include Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) and Rear Wheel Drive (RWD).
Talking about the base variant, it uses a 65 kWh battery setup, complimented by a single electric motor. The top-of-the-line variant is powered by a robust 75 kWh battery pack and gets electric motors, generating a maximum power of 309 BHP and 504 Nm of peak torque. It has been claimed by the brand that the EV is capable of doing 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.
As far as the range is concerned, it is up to 627 km (MIDC cycle) on a single charge, using a 75 kWh battery. The real-world range can be expected between 480-505 km for the 75 kWh RWD version. The EV also supports a 7.2 kW AC charger, which can juice up the battery from 10-100% in 10.7 hours.
