The much-anticipated film Metro In Dino has finally premiered in cinemas, generating significant buzz since its announcement. The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and Saswata Chatterjee, each portraying unique narratives. The film opened to a promising start at the box office.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro In Dino experienced a notable increase in box office earnings on its second day. As per early estimates from Sacnilk, the film garnered approximately Rs 6 crore on Saturday, following an opening day collection of Rs 3.5 crore on Friday. This impressive 71.43% rise in revenue brings the total earnings to Rs 9.5 crore within just two days.

In a recent interview with Filmfare, Aditya Roy Kapur expressed his enthusiasm for working with Anurag Basu on this project. He remarked, “With Dada, every day is a new adventure, filled with fun challenges. His unpredictability keeps the process exciting.” Kapur previously collaborated with Basu on the 2020 film Ludo.

Anurag Basu's earlier work, the 2007 film Life In A Metro, also explored the complexities of love in urban settings. This film featured a talented ensemble cast, including Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi.
