It's been an interesting Wimbledon so far for Iga Swiatek. As if revealing her meal of preference was pasta and strawberries wasn't strange enough, the Polish star has now admitted to stealing on her run to the last-16.
The five-time Grand Slam winner is bidding to win at SW19 for the first time. However, regardless of whether she prevails against Austrian Clara Tauson on Monday, the eighth seed won't be going home empty-handed. She's had to defend herself after being seen stuffing tournament towels into her bag after matches this week, and was pressed on the matter after beating Polina Kudermetova in the first round on Tuesday.
"We love our towels," she said. "Every time I come back from a Slam, I think I have like 10 friends and 10 family members wanting towels. So, sorry guys. Sorry, Wimbledon."
After beating Collins, the issue was raised again with the former world No.1. Speaking to the Tennis Channel, she conceded she was embarrassed by the scrutiny over the towels.

"Honestly, I take towels from everywhere, people just don't notice that," she pleaded. "Here, it's suddenly a big thing, it's all a bit humiliating."
However, the 24-year-old isn't just after souvenirs or gifts for family and friends. Instead, she argued she was taking the towels both for sentimental and personal use.
"When I look back in 30 years, Wimbledon is going to be the best venue you can get, and I just like them, you know," she added. "The Wimbledon towels are of the best quality after you wash them. I use them daily in Warsaw, so I can recommend them."
Pundit Martina Navratilova then joked that the key to Swiatek building up her collection was simply to keep winning at the All England Tennis Club. A smiling Swiatek replied "that's the plan" with the draw having opened up for the top female players following the exits of a host of seeded players.
