Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Direct flights from Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport to Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Nashik will stop operating from August 1.

This decision has been taken by the airline due to a low number of passengers on these routes.

As a result, flight bookings for these three cities have already been closed starting next month.

The move is likely to cause inconvenience to passengers who frequently travel to these cities, especially for business, tourism, or religious reasons.

Without direct air connectivity, travelers will now have to rely on connecting flights through other major cities or switch to road or train travel, which will take more time and effort.

Currently, around 90 to 92 flights operate from Indore airport daily. However, due to ongoing runway repair work, no flights are allowed during the night for nearly eight hours. From August, this number may drop even more with the cancellation of these routes.

IndiGo airline, which operated the direct flights to Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Nashik, has not given a strong reason for the cancellations. With Jodhpur and Udaipur flights gone, only Jaipur will remain connected directly to Indore in Rajasthan.

Nashik flights used to run three times a week and were popular among travelers going to Shirdi. Their cancellation will especially affect pilgrims who depended on this route.
