You cannot travel in a train after drinking alcohol. Doing this is against the rules made by the Indian Railways, and you may have to pay a fine for doing so. But many people take this thing lightly and travel after drinking alcohol.

Let us tell you that under the Railway Act, drinking alcohol in a train or creating a ruckus in a drunken state is considered a punishable offense. In such a situation, not only scolding but also legal action is taken. Therefore, it is important to keep this in mind.

If a passenger is found traveling after drinking alcohol. So action is taken against him under Section 145 of the Railway Act. In which there is a provision of 6 months imprisonment or a fine of up to Rs 500. Or both can also happen.

Apart from this, if you harass other passengers in a drunken state. Or misbehave with them or create a ruckus in the train. Then the matter can become more serious, in such a case a case can be filed against you under other sections.

Not only this, the Railway Protection Force and train staff can also remove passengers traveling after drinking alcohol from the running train mid-way. And even then a case can be registered against such passengers. These rules apply equally in all coaches of the train.

That is why when you travel in the train, take special care of these things. And do not go against any rule of the railways. Otherwise you may have to pay a fine. So you may also have to face more strict action.
