If you are looking for a government job in the technical or administrative field, then the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur has brought a great opportunity for you.

The institute has issued a notification for recruitment to non-teaching posts and the application process is currently going on. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the institute www.nitjsr.ac.in. The last date has been fixed as 11th July.

Under this recruitment campaign, appointments will be made on various Group A, B and C posts. The posts include posts like Principal Scientific Officer, Technical Assistant and Junior Assistant. Qualifications have also been fixed differently for different posts. 33 posts will be filled under the recruitment.

For Principal Scientific Officer, the candidate should have at least 15 years of experience with a degree of BE, B.Tech, M.Sc or MCA. For the post of Technical Assistant, the candidate should have any one of the degrees BE, B.Tech, MCA, Diploma or B.Sc. Whereas, for Junior Assistant, it is necessary to be 12th pass, along with typing speed of 35 words per minute has also been sought.

The age limit has also been fixed according to the posts. The maximum age limit for Group A is 56 years, for Group B 30 years and for Group C 27 to 33 years. Reserved categories will get the benefit of age relaxation as per rules.

Selection in this recruitment will be based on three stages. Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill or Trade Test and finally Interview. It will be mandatory for the eligible candidates to be successful in all these stages. Selected candidates will also get attractive salary. The salary for Group A post has been fixed from 1,44,200 to 2,18,200 per month.

Candidates will also have to pay a fee for the application. The fee is Rs 2000 for Group A posts, Rs 1000 for Group B and Rs 500 for Group C. However, the application is completely free for SC, ST, Divyang, ex-servicemen and female candidates.

The application process is online, and for this the candidates have to register by visiting the NIT Jamshedpur website. After registration, fill the information asked in the form, upload the required documents and submit the form by paying the application fee. Finally, take a printout of the application form, which may be useful in future.
