To celebrate Ranveer Singh’s birthday, Jio Studios and B62 Studios have released the adrenaline-fueled first look of Dhurandhar, an action-thriller helmed by Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar. The film will see a global theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
High-Octane Teaser and Ensemble Cast
The 2-minute, 40-second teaser is full of gritty action and multi-layered mystery, featuring Singh in a commanding lead. He’s supported by a heavyweight cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The intense tone of the teaser gets a boost from an original score by Shashwat with vocals from Jasmine Sandlas and a striking addition by genre-defying rapper Hanumankind.
Behind the Scenes: A Vision from Aditya Dhar
Aditya Dhar dons multiple hats as director, writer, and producer of the film, with B62 Studios’ Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande joining in as producers as well. Jio Studios is producing the film. Dhurandhar is being touted as “the untold saga of the unknown men,” with some sort of story rooted in clandestine operations or unaired heroism familiar from Dhar’s previous hit Uri.

Ranveer Singh’s Star Power
Singh debuted with Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), winning a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. An alumnus of Indiana University Bloomington, he shifted from adverting to a renowned film career. His collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali resulted in successes such as Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat. His performance in Gully Boy (2019) earned him another Filmfare Award, followed by success in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
Off-screen, Singh is famous for his fashion-forward and high-profile marriage to Deepika Padukone, an actress whom he has a daughter with.
