In the wake of Shefali Jariwala ’s untimely demise, her husband, actor Parag Tyagi , has come forward to dismiss false claims surrounding the health of their beloved pet dog, Simba. Addressing concerns raised by fans and media, Parag posted an emotional video on Instagram, showing himself and Simba distributing food to the underprivileged in Mumbai.
Alongside the video, Parag wrote, “Simba is Hail & Hearty and doing all the rituals to be done by a son for his mom.” He further expressed frustration over the spread of misinformation, saying, “This video is for all those wonderful people who were really concerned about our baby Simba because of some heartless people spreading false news about our baby Simba’s health just to garner few likes and views.”
In the video, elderly women are seen blessing both Parag and Simba as they receive food packets. Parag emphasized that Simba is not only healthy but has been emotionally involved in the rituals following Shefali’s passing. “God bless those who truly care. And to those spreading lies—please show some humanity,” he added.
The sudden death of Shefali Jariwala last month sent shockwaves through the industry, leaving fans and friends heartbroken. A video that emerged the day after her death, showing Parag walking Simba, had sparked criticism online, with many questioning his actions during such a tragic time.
However, Shefali’s Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant and close friend Paras spoke out in defense of Parag. In a conversation with IANS, Paras explained that Shefali, Parag, and Simba shared a deeply emotional bond. “Simba was like their child. After Shefali’s sudden demise, Simba has become an even more vital emotional support for Parag,” he said.
For Parag, Simba is not just a pet but a cherished reminder of Shefali’s love—and a silent companion through grief and healing.
