Delhi University (DU) has released the academic calendar for the 2025-26 session. Classes for undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the odd semester will start from August 1. According to the released calendar, UG classes for subject semesters will start from August 1, 3,5, and 7, and PG classes will be conducted from August 1. At the same time, DU has also released the exam schedule.

Autumn vacation has been declared from October 19 to 26. Classes will start again on October 27 after the holidays. Classes for the first semester will end by November 27. According to the released academic calendar, theory examinations for odd semesters will start from December 10. At the same time, winter vacation will be from 28 December 2025 to 1 January 2026.

The new semester will start on January 2. There will be a mid-semester break from March 1 to 9, and studies will start again from March 9, and classes will end on April 30. The theory exam for this semester will start on 16 May 2026. After this, there will be summer vacation from 1 June to 20 July. DU implemented this rule for UG for the first time.

For the first time, DU has implemented the exit option for UG students. This is a big step in the roll-out of the four-year undergraduate course. After implementing the NEP, DU is preparing to enter the final year of a four-year degree for the first time. Last month, the Academic Council approved the curriculum for the seventh and eighth semesters, finalizing the academic format for the fourth year.

At the same time, the second phase of UG admission for the academic year 2025 will start on July 8 under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG). According to the official press release, students who have already completed the first stage of the process are required to log in to ugadmission.uod.ac.in to select their preferred combination.
