According to reports, the company has introduced an automated system that tracks how much time employees work each day, especially while working from a distance. Anyone who crosses the range of 9 hours and 15 minutes continuously receives a formal warning from HR.
An employee of Infosys told ET, “If we work from a distance, the system triggers a notification.” The company’s Human Resources Department now monitors hours of working from distance every month and sends detailed information to the employees working more than the prescribed period.
The monitoring system was introduced after Hybrid Work Arrangement for 323,500 employees of Infosys. When excessive hours are detected, HR sends comprehensive information, including information about remote working days, total working hours and daily average. According to the workplace policy of the company implemented in November 2023, employees will have to be present in the office at least 10 days every month.
