What is a silver button?

When does one get the silver button?

As soon as 100,000 (one lakh) subscribers are completed on YouTube, the creator is considered entitled to the silver button. But just completing the number of subscribers is not enough.

The channel has to follow all the Community Guidelines, Terms of Service and Copyright rules of YouTube.

As soon as you have one lakh subscribers, YouTube reviews your channel. It sees whether you have broken any rules, increased fake subscribers or violated copyright.

Content should be uploaded on the channel for some time and it should be active.

If you are eligible, YouTube sends a notification on your channel's dashboard which contains a Redemption Code.

Using that code, you have to go to YouTube's website and fill in your address and other details.

After this, the silver button is delivered to your home within a few weeks.
