A school is reportedly on lockdown following a police incident. In a message to parents Our Lady Immaculate Primary School in Everton said children have been told to stay indoors due to a police incident.

The message said: "Due to a police incident outside of school, we have been advised by police to keep all children indoors and there is currently no access to school. All children are safe and well.

"We will keep you informed. Thank you for your co-operation," reports Liverpool Echo.
