Jules Hudson delighted Escape to the Country fans after announcing an update in what he called a "show first".

Taking to Instagram, the BBC presenter, 55, stands in front of a breathtaking backdrop and confirms he is house hunting on the Isle of Man.

Looking at the camera, Jules explained: "If you look at that coastline behind me you could be forgiven for thinking you were perhaps in Cornwall or North Devon or even Pembrokeshire, but here's the rub.

"Look over there, that is Port Erin, and if you know your geography of the British Isles, hopefully, that means you will appreciate we are on the Isle of Man."

Jules confirmed: "I've never been here before, nor has Escape to the Country, but we are relishing the opportunity to explore somewhere which certainly, for me and for many of us, is new."

Jules captioned the clip: "Here's an Escape to the Country EXCLUSIVE!! This week we are house hunting somewhere we have NEVER been to before! And what a fascinating place it is!! @escape_country #iomstory."

Escape to the Country fans wasted no time in taking to the comments section to share their excitement, with one person writing: "Yes looking forward to it - is it remote living on the Isle of Man?."

A second added: "Wow I thought that Escape to the Country had been there before - that's incredible. Gorgeous views."

A third chimed in: "I'm looking forward to seeing this New episode of Escape to the Country soon."

"Awesome Jules looking forward to this", added one fan while another exclaimed: "It's the most magical place."

Jules' latest announcement comes after confirming he had returned to filming new episodes of Escape to the Country in Cornwall.

In June, the seasoned television host posted a brief video snippet of himself savouring the idyllic Cornish landscape.

Perched on a boat in Padstow, Jules addressed his followers, saying: "Well, folks, I'm back in the UK filming Escape to the Country, and I am taking the ferry from Padstow to Rock."

He further elaborated: "Why? To have a pint. It's the end of the day, and look at the weather, gorgeous."

Escape to Country airs on BBC One and iPlayer
