Om Satam, of Gen A.K. Vaidya Swimmig Pool, made a clean sweep with five golds but with a solitary new record in the boys (15-17 years) group, while Radio Club’s Samaira Mehrotra emerged best among girls (15-17 years) groups with three golds and a silver, including one record in the GMAAA Annual Sub- Junior. and Junior Aquatic Meet - 2025 held at Somaiya Sports Academy at Vidyavihar on Sunday.
Shubham Joshi, of DSC, who broke two records earlier, added 50 m breast stroke event to came out second best best behind Om.
Utkarsh Mehta, of JVPG pool, who struck two record-breaking golds on the first day, added two more, winning the 50m breast stroke as well as 50m free style to claim the top honours in the boys (13-14) events. In all a total of 24 new records were established in this three-day meet.
Among boys in the 11-12 category, Rivan Kolshi (MGMO), continued his golden record-shattering run by adding golds in the 200m individual medley as well to his super show with five golds, which included four new records. While YMCA’sHeeva Patel took the girls honours with five golds with three new meet records.
