If you are also dreaming of studying in the top institutes of the country, then this news is for you. You can get admission in the seats left vacant after the JoSAA round.

If you have cleared JEE Main but did not get your favorite college or branch in JoSAA counseling, then there is no need to be disappointed now. You still have a golden opportunity, CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) Special Round Counseling. This is another opportunity for those students who want to take admission in the seats left vacant after the JoSAA round. Let's know what you have to do?

What is CSAB counseling?

CSAB Special Round Counseling is done to fill those vacant seats that are left after JoSAA counseling. In this, you get a chance to get admission in top institutes across the country like NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. There are a total of 26 IIITs, 31 NITs and 38 GFTIs in the country, where seats can be obtained through CSAB round.

Why is CSAB round special?

The biggest advantage of this counseling is that even low-ranked students can get a seat in a good institute. Many students are unable to take or leave the seat according to their position in the JoSAA round. In such a situation, these seats remain vacant and an attempt is made to fill them in the CSAB round.

Only those students can participate in this who had participated in JoSAA. If you have participated in any round of JoSAA, then you are eligible for CSAB.

NRI, PwD and Supernumerary quota?

Seats are also allotted under NRI, PwD and Supernumerary quota in CSAB counseling. For this, you will have to submit the relevant documents and certificates.

How to apply?

  • First of all, you have to register by visiting the official website of CSAB.
  • There you will have to fill in the choice of your preferred college and branch.
  • After this the seat allotment process will start.
  • In this round you have to pay the new fee.
  • If the seat is allotted then you have to accept it.
