IBPS PO 2025: IBPS's Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment is one of the biggest opportunities for candidates wishing to make a career in the banking sector. The notification for this year's PO recruitment has been released, and the registration process is also on. However, those applying will get to see a change in the exam this time.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has made some changes in the exam pattern for IBPS PO 2025. The registration process has started, which will run till 21 July 2025. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website ibps.in.

IBPS PO 2025: These changes have been made in the preliminary examination
This time, the marks distribution of subjects has been changed in the pattern of the preliminary examination:

The marks of Quantitative Aptitude (Mathematical Ability) have been reduced from 35 to 30.

At the same time, the marks of Reasoning Ability have been increased from 30 to 40.
However, there is no change in the total duration and number of questions of the preliminary exam.

What has changed in the main exam?

Some major changes have also been made in the pattern of the main exam:

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude questions have been reduced from 45 to 40, and the time duration has been reduced from 60 minutes to 50 minutes.

The General/Economy/Banking Awareness subject will now have 35 questions of 50 marks, which have to be completed in 25 minutes, instead of the 35 minutes previously.

Data Analysis and Interpretation will now be worth 50 marks, which was 60 marks last year.

The total number of objective type questions in the main exam has now been reduced from 155 to 145, and the total exam duration has also been reduced from 180 minutes to 160 minutes.
