School Holiday: Why this decision was taken?
Every year in the month of Shravan, Kavad Yatra is organized in North India, in which millions of devotees reach Haridwar from different parts of the country to take Ganga water. This year Kavad Yatra starts from July 11, 2025, and there is a possibility of huge crowd in Haridwar during the journey. This affects the traffic system, as well as inconvenience and safety threats to students going to school. The District Magistrate clarified that the Kawad Yatra routes will also be closed or diverted at some places, which would make traffic more difficult. In such a situation, this holiday has been declared giving the highest priority to the safety of the students.
