Viksit Delhi CM Internship: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the 'Viksit Delhi Chief Minister Internship Program'. Under this, a total of 150 interns will be selected. All interns will serve for 89 days. During this, every intern will get a stipend of Rs 20,000 per month. During the internship, interns will get an opportunity to work with officials, policy makers, and community stakeholders on projects that will have a direct impact on the lives of common citizens. Application for this internship is to be done by visiting https://viksitdelhiyuva.org/.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had said while launching the internship on July 1 that through this program, the youth will be given the experience of the ground reality of governance on topics like urban transport, health system, waste management, and digital innovation.

How will interns be selected?

Application for the 'Viksit Delhi Chief Minister Internship Program' is to be done in online mode. Which four short-answer questions will be asked? Their thoughts and thinking will be tested through these. The top 300 candidates will be shortlisted. After this, these 300 candidates will be called for a one-day boot camp. There will be dialogue with public leaders and experts, learning sessions, and an essay writing round. On this basis, 150 interns will be selected.

In the first phase, training will be given on the structure of the Delhi government, the decision-making process, and social issues.

In the second phase, fieldwork will be done in all 70 assembly constituencies, dialogue with citizens and study of ground-level problems and solutions will be suggested.

In the third and final phase, interns will prepare policy papers on ten major issues in various government departments. The two best policy documents out of these will be presented before the Chief Minister.

Will become 'Developed Delhi Ambassadors'

Another important objective of this program is to prepare 'Developed Delhi Ambassadors', who will propagate the thinking and plans of developed Delhi in their college, community and on digital platforms. The Chief Minister says that this visionary initiative is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Amrit Peedhi' vision, in which the youth are considered not just beneficiaries of government schemes, but active partners in the transformative journey of the nation.
