The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially denied all claims and rumours about offering a lifetime Golden Visa to Indian citizens. The clarification came from the country’s federal authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP)which stated that no such policy exists and that recent reports suggesting otherwise are false.
The UAE authorities clarified that there is no nationality-specific lifetime Golden Visaputting an end to reports suggesting lifetime settlement opportunities for Indians or citizens of other countries like Bangladesh. A statement issued by Emirates News Agency (WAM) and confirmed on the ICP’s official Instagram page further stated that all Golden Visa applications are processed strictly through government channels.
The ICP warned the public against relying on any internal or external consultants claiming to help with Golden Visa applications. The government has not authorised any agents, agencies, or private consultants to collect applications or fees. Only verified platforms and official government websites should be used for any visa- information.
This announcement followed viral claims that Indians could obtain a lifetime UAE Golden Visa by paying around ₹23.30 lakh (AED 100,000). Some reports even quoted sources stating the visa would provide lifetime residency benefitstriggering massive interest and inquiries across social media and travel communities.
The ICP has also issued a warning about legal consequences for those spreading false information or attempting to collect money by misleading people. Such fraudulent claims not only harm individuals but also undermine the integrity of the UAE’s immigration system.
Applicants and the general public are urged to avoid scams and only trust verified sources such as the official UAE immigration portal at www.icp.gov.ae or the helpline number 600522222 for authentic and updated information.
The UAE government has made it clear that there is no lifetime Golden Visa scheme for any nationality, including Indians. All legitimate applications must be submitted through official channels, and the public is advised to remain cautious and informed.
