Range Rover has taken the wraps off the SV Black Edition, ahead of its global debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company had also unveiled the blacked-out editions of the Sport SV and Defender Octa SUVs recently. Here’s a look at what it offers.

Range Rover SV Black Edition: What’s new

As the name suggests, this iteration comes in a stealthier avatar, dressed in all Narvik Gloss Black paint. As far as the highlights goes, it gets gloss black grille mesh, contrasting black-out accents, 23-inch black alloy wheels, and even a black SV roundel. To further elevate the look of the wheels, it features gloss black brake calipers.Inside, it features rich Near-Aniline Ebony leathersatin black ceramic accents, black birch veneers, and Moonlight Chrome highlights.

What really sets the SV Black apart is the debut of an industry-first feature: Sensory Floor technology. It helps you feel music, literally. Available exclusively on long-wheelbase SV models, it adds haptic feedback to the floor mats, complementing the existing seat-based BASS (Body and Soul Seat) tech. Using transducers under the front and rear carpets, it syncs vibrations with the sound system and wellness modes. As a nod to sustainability, Range Rover also announced a new set of Pirelli P Zero tyres made from over 70% sustainable materials. These tyres will be offered across the Range Rover SV range from 2025.Under the bonnet, the SV Black doesn’t just rely on looks. It packs a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that belts out 615 hp and 750 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds.
