England’s veteran batsman Joe Root, who failed to play big innings in Leeds and Birmingham, finally ended on his favorite ground. Joe Root scored a memorable century in the first innings of the third Test match against Team India at the historic Lord’s Stadium. The former England captain, who played many brilliant and big innings at Lord’s, won the hearts of fans of England by scoring another amazing century against India on this ground. This is the 37th century of Root’s Test career and with this he overtook the great Indian batsman Rahul Dravid and Australian star Steve Smith.

Century with fours

The route, who came out for 99 runs, returned to batting on the first day of the third Test match that started from July 10 at Lord’s. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes were on him whether he would be able to complete his century on the second day or not. But this England star batsman achieved this feat by crossing the obstacle of ‘Nervous Ninties’. Former England captain Root completed his century by hitting a four off the first ball of the day. With this, he reached the 5th position among the batsmen to score the most centuries.

After losing 2 wickets for just 44 runs, Root took the innings with Oli Pope and brought the team to a better position. Then he got the support of captain Ben Stokes and both did not let a single wicket fall until the day’s play was over. But during this time the route remained unbeaten after scoring 99, after which his century was waited on the second day. Root also achieved this position without delay and achieved a new achievement in Test cricket.
