Kl rahul century: KL Rahul has created history by continuing his brilliant batting on England tour. After scoring a century in the first match of the Test series, Rahul has now scored a century in Lord’s. Team India opener completed his 10th Test century on the third day of Lord’s Test. Along with this, Rahul showed what happened only once in the history of Indian cricket. Rahul has become the second batsman of India to score more than one Test century on this historic ground.

Rahul did this during the first innings of Team India on Saturday, July 12, on the third day of the third match of the Test series at Kamal Lords. After scoring a half -century on the second day, Rahul, who returned unbeaten on 53 runs, showed an aggressive style on the second day and focused on collecting the boundary. During this, Rahul also hit 3 fours in an over of Bridan Cars. During this, Rahul along with Pant also brought Team India to beyond 250 runs.

However, as soon as Rahul reached 98 in the last over before lunch, there was a sudden misunderstanding over the run between him and Rishabh Pant and Pant was run out. In such a situation, the Indian batsman had to wait for the next session for his century. Then when the second session started, Rahul completed the 10th century of his Test career with a run. Along with this, Rahul also completed his second consecutive century in Lord’s. Rahul also scored a century on the same ground on the last tour in 2021. He was Rahul’s first century here and now he has crossed the 100 mark for the second time on this historic ground.

However, after scoring a century, Rahul could not last long and Shoaib was immediately dismissed by Bashir’s ball. He scored 100 runs in 177 balls with the help of 13 fours. Rahul may not have been able to convert his century into a big score, but he made history with this innings. Rahul has become the only Indian batsman to score more than one century on the Lord’s ground. Before him, veteran batsman Dilip Vengsarkar, known as ‘Colonel’, scored three centuries, not one or two on this ground. This achievement of Rahul is also special because great Indian batsmen like Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli could not score a century on this ground even once.
