Bank Linkage Program (SHG-BLP):** NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) under the Central Government has launched many special schemes for the development of women.






In particular, loan schemes have been launched to provide financial assistance to women by uniting them in self-help groups. Now we will know about one such project. NABARD Bank has launched this scheme to encourage BPL families and especially economically backward women. Women can get this loan by forming a self-help group by forming a group of 10-20 people. There is an opportunity to get a loan of about Rs 5 lakh under this scheme provided by NABARD Bank. Using this loan, women can create small business, cottage industry, agricultural industry, animal husbandry and other employment opportunities. Subsidy is also available on this loan; the central government can provide a maximum subsidy of up to three lakh rupees.
Now we will know about this scheme and how to apply for it, step by step:

  • All economically backward women who have white ration cards can get this loan by forming a group.

  • This loan can be obtained through NABARD Bank. The bank will provide them training as well as loan facility.

  • There is an opportunity to get a maximum loan of up to 5 lakh taka.

  • Small businesses, cottage industries, agriculture, industry and animal husbandry etc. can be started using this loan.

  • The documents required for this loan include: Aadhar card, passport size photo, bank passbook (in the name of SHG), documents complying with the terms and conditions, and signature of SHG members.

  • You can apply for this loan at the NABARD district office of your district.

  • This loan will be issued in the name of your self-help group, not individually.


For example, if you have sewing skills, then you and 10 to 15 people you know can form a group and get this loan. Initially, there will be an opportunity to get a loan ranging from a minimum of 50 thousand taka to 5 lakh taka. The interest rate on this bank loan varies from state to state. Interest is charged up to 3 percent. This loan can be repaid in a period of 2-5 years.
