New Delhi. Tata Nexon was first launched by the company inside the Indian market in 2017. So far, it has had more than 6 lakh units. At the same time, it is currently available in ICE engine and electric vehicle (EV) i.e. both variants. Not only this, the company will also offer it with CNG fuel option. Let’s know other information about it.
It is noteworthy that the Nexon ICNG concept has been introduced at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 organized by Tata Motors some time ago. Also, the sale of its production version in India is expected to start in the coming months. This car will be India’s first turbo petrol car equipped with CNG technology.
Let us know that the CNG version of this car will be launched by Tata Motors, taking advantage of the atmosphere created by facelifted Nexon. At the same time, Tata launched the ICNG technology with Tiago and Tigor a few years ago, which comes with twin cylinders. However, without compromising on boot space, the country’s first twin-cylinder ICNG’s arrival was a great development.
Apart from this, the Tata company claims that Nexon ICng will offer better driveability and tremendous performance in various areas with high ground clearance thanks to advanced low-end torque and refined calibration. Along with this, the factory-fired CNG system has thermal incidence safety, leakage information feature, micro switch, 6-point cylinder mounting scheme, single ECU and high quality material in single ECU and kit.
Not only this, a 1.2 liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 120 PS and 170 Nm will be used in Nexon ICNG. But its performance output will be less. Along with this, it will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, while AMT can also be on offer.
