Usually, admission in engineering colleges is done on the basis of JEE Mains or JEE Advanced. Although some private colleges admit students in B.Tech without JEE score, do you know that admission in B.Tech in universities is also done on the basis of CUET UG score? Yes, Delhi University is also included in this. You can do B. Tech from CUET UG in this top-class university of the country, but there is a special process and eligibility criteria for this. DU has recently started new courses for Technical Education (B.Tech), and admission in these courses is given on the basis of CUET UG score.

Three B.Tech courses are offered under the Faculty of Technology of the University. The first of these is 'B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, the second is B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and the third is B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Doing BTech from DU is not easy.
The seats for DU's BTech course are limited, about 60-120 seats in each branch. Therefore, it is important to score well in CUET UG to get admission. Admission to the BTech course here is done only through CUET UG. The fee for B.Tech course at the University is slightly higher than that of other central universities. The estimated fee here is Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.

What is the admission process?

To do BTech from Delhi University, first of all you have to go to the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal and register at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. After that, you have to upload your CUET score, course preference, and necessary documents. Students can choose a BTech course and college based on their CUET score. Then, seats are allotted on the basis of the cutoff score and merit list.

If your name appears in the merit list, then you will be allotted a college. Then the document verification and fee will have to be paid within the stipulated time. After this, you can do B.Tech from your favorite college of University.

How much does one get for placement?

The DU Placement 2024 report was released for various colleges of Delhi University. According to the placement data, more than 180 companies had come to DU for placement. These companies included Coca-Cola, ITC, Zomato, Deloitte, HCL, Accenture and American Express, etc. A student of Delhi School of Economics got the highest package of Rs 25 lakh. At the same time, the average package was around Rs 5 lakh.
