Unhealthy food: Recently, the Health Ministry has said that due to the consumption of such breakfast, the body is becoming a victim of many diseases. In view of this danger, the Ministry of Health has taken this unique step. Now warning boards will be installed near Samosa-Jalebi shops in Nagpur, which will make people aware of the amount of sugar and fat present in these food. It will be written on the board, ‘Eat wisely, your future will thank you.’ The objective of this initiative of the Ministry of Health is to warn people about their food. The ministry says that like tobacco and cigarettes, it is now necessary to warn about the consumption of snacks like Samosa, Jalebi. This step will not only inspire people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, but will also help in curbing diseases like diabetes and obesity.

Order to put warning posters

The Ministry of Health has issued instructions to all central institutions including AIIMS Nagpur to put warning posters in their campus. This poster will clearly explain the amount of sugar and fat present in everyday breakfast, which can be harmful to health. Officials of AIIMS Nagpur said that snacks like Laddu, Vada Pav and Dakoda are being examined. Soon these warning boards will be installed in cafeteria and public places. Health experts say that the sugar and trans fat present in these snacks can be as dangerous as tobacco.

Advice to think before eating

The diabetes expert said, “The government is not stopping food, just making people alert to their health.” He further explained, "If you know that the rasgulla you are eating, there can be 6 teaspoons of sugar in it, then you will think twice before eating it. Experts believe that most of the diseases in today’s lifestyle, such as diabetes and blood pressure, are the results of wrong eating. With this initiative, people will get a chance to be aware of their food.

Government warning on obesity

The government has also expressed serious concern about obesity. According to the ministry, if this situation continues like this, by 2050 more than 40 crore people can be obese. India will be the second most affected country after America in this matter. The government said, ‘Two out of every ten people will be troubled by obesity.’ Apart from this, young children are also suffering from obesity due to wrong eating, which is becoming a serious problem.
