New Delhi: Expressing concern over the sale of fake and poor quality fertilizers across the country, Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has written to the Chief Minister of all the states and union territories. This step has been taken to prevent the loss of farmers and provide them with quality fertilizers on time and at the right rate.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has stated in his letter that agriculture is the spine of the Indian economy and timely availability of quality fertilizers is essential to keep the income of the farmers stable. They have underlined the need to take strict action on illegal types of fake fertilizers, black markets on grants and forcibly tagging.
The letter further states that it is the responsibility of the states to ensure the availability of fertilizers, and it should be strictly monitored on the black market, the incorrectly distribution of fertilizers on the market and the distribution of fertilizers on the grant. Regular monitoring of fertilizers should be controlled by sampling and testing processes with regular monitoring of the fertilizer. Nano-costs or bio-stimulants with traditional fertilizers should be forcibly tagging, canceling the license against the culprits, registering crimes, and legal action should be taken.
The farmers have also been instructed to be aware of them to protect them from these types and create effective mechanisms for feedback from them. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a mechanism for identifying true products should be developed by participating in the maintenance process of farmers and farmers.
The Union Ministers have appealed to the state government that on the basis of the above guidelines, a statewide campaign should be implemented throughout the fake and poor fertilizer. He said that regular monitoring of this process at the state level can be effective and sustainable for the benefit of the farmers, he added.
