The leaked patent documents have made it clear that this new electric bike will be based on the existing petrol shine chassis and design. It will use single-speed gear transmission and compact electric motor, which will be fitted directly to the existing engine bracket. This will also reduce its manufacturing cost and will make production easier.
The Honda Shine Ev will be given two lithium-ion battery packs, which will be fixed in the angle instead of the engine. These batteries will be installed on both sides of the bike’s spine frame and the part of them will serve as an airflow channel. This will lead to the cold air directly to the battery and the ECU (electronic control unit). This system will replace the old air Intake system of the engine.
While Honda Activa E: Swapable battery is provided in the Shine Electric will have a fixed battery pack. The company is preparing this bike for long distance and better performance. However, official information has not been revealed about its range, top speed and charging time.
